It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using our website, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Coupon Crew India is a free coupon and deals website for shoppers in India. For the personal data described here, we are the Data Fiduciary.

2. Personal data we collect

Data you give us

  • Account details: name or username, email address and a securely hashed password, if you create an account.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to deal alerts.
  • Messages: your name, email and message when you use our contact form or email us.
  • Submissions: coupons, comments or saved offers you add to the website.

Data collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, coupons clicked, device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and the website that referred you.
  • Technical data: IP address and log data used to keep the website secure and working.
  • Cookies: small files described in section 5.

We do not collect your card, UPI or bank details. Payments happen on the store's own website.

3. How we use your data

  • To run the website, your account and saved coupons.
  • To send deal alerts and newsletters you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To reply to your messages and coupon reports.
  • To understand which offers are popular and improve the website.
  • To track affiliate referrals so stores can credit us for sales.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Consent and legal basis

We process personal data with your consent (for example, when you subscribe or create an account) or for legitimate uses allowed under the DPDP Act, such as keeping the website secure. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.

5. Cookies, analytics and affiliate tracking

  • Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember settings such as light or dark theme.
  • Analytics cookies (for example, Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use the website, using aggregated data.
  • Affiliate cookies: when you click a store link, our affiliate partner (such as Cuelinks) and the store may set cookies to record that the visit came from Coupon Crew India. Read our Affiliate Disclosure.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly without essential cookies.

6. Sharing your data

We share personal data only when needed:

  • with service providers who help us run the website, such as hosting, email and analytics providers, under confidentiality obligations;
  • with affiliate networks and stores, limited to click and referral information needed to track sales;
  • with authorities when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Once you leave our website for a store, the store's own privacy policy applies.

7. Data storage and security

We use reasonable security measures, including HTTPS encryption and hashed passwords, to protect your data. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India of a personal data breach where the law requires.

8. How long we keep data

  • Account data: while your account is active, and deleted after you ask us to close it.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact messages: up to 2 years, unless needed longer for a legal reason.
  • Log and analytics data: for a limited period, then deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • Correct, complete or update your personal data;
  • Erase your personal data when it is no longer needed;
  • Withdraw consent at any time;
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
  • Raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any right, email info@couponcrewindia.in with the subject line "Data Request". We may need to verify your identity before acting.

10. Children's privacy

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has shared data with us, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. For major changes, we will show a notice on the website.
